DNA Repair
During the replication process, damages and errors my occur to the DNA. These are corrected most of the time by cells, if not the errors and damages may be fatal. They must be fixed before functioning and future replication. If they are left untreated these causes for the mutation to be passed onto future generations, this is how cancer, Autism, Down Syndrome and many more are passed on. Following are the three major types of DNA repair mechanisms.
